In this review we will take a look at the Xn8 Free Standing Punch Bag. Coming in at 5.5ft, this punch bag is designed for heavy duty training. Unlike most other punching bags, the Xn8 punch bag is suitable for outdoor use as the PU leather surface is designed to be fade and crack resistant.
As with all free standing punch bags, there's no need to install brackets on the wall or hooks on the ceiling. Therefore the bag can be used in tight areas, so long as you have room to weave around it.
There are four design patterns as seen in the above image.
Each design has "Xn8 Sports" printed at the top and "Fight Time" at the bottom.

Dimensions
Once assembled, the bag stands at 5.5ft tall. This is around standard for free standing punch bags. Full measurements are illustrated in the below graphic:
Stitching
The top of the bag is stitched with thick nylon thread. A combination of manual sewing and machine stitching is used to ensure quality.
Surface
The outer cover is made from PU leather. As mentioned above, the surface is particularly durable and resistant to sunlight.
Base Connector
The base connector is heavy duty to protect it from damage. It's also designed to reduce vibrations. This allows you to concentrate fully on your techniques and training without having to worry about the bag moving. As you can see in the below image, the connector is securely bolted to the base:
Base
The base itself is designed to have a larger volume as possible, while keeping its diameter to a minimum. The shape of the base allows for optimal stability. Water and sand are the two most common fillings. Sand is recommended, and once completely filled it weighs 150kg (330lb).
Around the base are a number of suction cups. If the bag is placed on laminate flooring, smooth tiles, marble, etc, the cups will clutch the floor and reduce bag movement almost completely.
To summarise, the Xn8 Free Standing Punch Bag has a well thought out design. Its stand out features are the fact that it can be used outside and the innovative base design which allows for maximum volume without it becoming too bulky.
The tall punching area makes it suitable for both adults and children. It would especially suit someone looking to practise strength training.
AssemblyAssembly is simple and will take around 10 minutes. The individual components should be bolted together. The base should then be filled with sand or water - any sort of dry sand is ideal.
